Meet the Team
My name is Natalie and I have been in the Veterinary field for about 19 years. I started as a team member who helped anyone in the hospital that needed it and worked my way up, helping in any way possible. For the last 8 years, I have filled the role of Lead Veterinary Technician and came to the decision that I was ready for something more. Now, I am one of the owners of this hospital. My dream has always been to help animals as much as possible, so it is very fulfilling to be in this position. I have lived in Florida my whole life, born in Naples, but raised on the East Coast. I came back to Southwest Florida about 8 years ago and I really love it here. I look forward to meeting and knowing all of you and your furry companions.
Dr. Ivia Alfonso
Hi there, I am Dr. Ivia Alfonso. I graduated in 2006 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny from the Agrarian University of Havana, Cuba. Shortly after graduation, I worked as a researcher and provided house call Veterinary services. I then moved to Miami, Fl where I worked as a Veterinary Technician for a few years until becoming licensed here in Florida as a DVM in 2015. I am living my dream, taking care of animals at Colonial Animal Hospital. My goal is to help patients stay as healthy as possible or get healthy if they are not feeling well. I love cats and Internal Medicine.
I currently reside in Cape Coral. I love music, reading great novels, and enjoying the sunset from my house.
I look forward to meeting all of you and your furry companions!

Hello, my name is Nikki. I am originally from Massachusetts, but moved to Fort Myers in February of this year. I moved here with my fiancé and two dogs, Peyton and Louella. My dogs are my life, so whenever I’m not working I’m typically spending time with them. They LOVE to swim so we try to get them to the beach as often as we can! I have been a Veterinary Technician for almost 5 years and am totally in love with my job! I’ve always had a love for animals, and I think I’m lucky to work with them everyday. I’m so excited to be a part of the team here at Colonial Animal Hospital, and can’t wait to meet your fur babies and give them the best care possible!

Hello, my name is Riley. Ever since I was little, I have had an immense love of all animals. During high school I became a Certified Veterinarian Assistant and I continue to learn more about animals as a Technician. I spend my free time frequenting our local beaches, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with my own two fur babies. I am very excited to be a part of the Colonial Animal Hospital family and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family.

I plan on going to school to study Veterinary Medicine, specializing in equestrian animals. I am excited to be a part of this team at Colonial Animal Hospital. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!
“This is not just a job for me, this is my passion”. I have been grooming for many, many years and I am very excited to join the grooming team at Colonial Animal Hospital. I have always been very involved in the dog world from training, to rescue, to grooming. I love them all like they are my own and your dog’s health and well being is my top priority. I also very much enjoy meeting all you pet parents and developing a great relationship with you and listening is everything in this business. Listening to your specific needs concerning your pets and doing my absolute best to make you feel comfortable leaving your babies in my care is paramount. It is so satisfying when I bring them out at the end of their spa day and seeing them looking their best and the happiness of the pet parent upon seeing their clean, well groomed beautiful fur baby.
